Eftersom ruten var beregnet til 781 km sto jeg opp klokken seks, og dro avg\u00e5rde klokken syv. Str\u00e5lende v\u00e6r, som planlagt! Transportetappen var knappe 208 km til foten av Appeninnene i den lille landsbyen Citta’ di Castello; turer med transportetapper p\u00e5 200 km f\u00f8r morgenkaffen er ikke Hustruen<\/a> s\u00e5 glad i s\u00e5 jeg m\u00e5 gj\u00f8re slikt mens hennes menisk holder henne i sjakk. Klokken er ni og det er tid for kaffe f\u00f8r jeg gyver l\u00f8s p\u00e5 fjellene. Men hvor lenge var Adam i Paradis?<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>Da jeg kommer forn\u00f8yd ut fra baren ser jeg at det er olje under bakhjulet, og at selve hjulet er helt tilgriset. N\u00e5r den f\u00f8ste forskrekkelsen har gitt seg og jeg har sjekket oljemutteren, g\u00e5r den grufulle sannhet opp for meg: Det lekker olje fra min BMW og jeg kan ikke kj\u00f8re videre! Det har tydeligvis dryppet en stund for dekket er glinsende av olje og det en fin hinne med olje inne i skjermen og p\u00e5 h\u00f8yre sideveske. Dit frakes sykkelen, og jeg m\u00e5 ta inn p\u00e5 et hotell. Det eneste hotellet er meget, meget trist og kunne ha v\u00e6rt hvor som helst i hele verden. S\u00e5 trist er det at alt fungerer (kan man tenke seg noe mindre italiensk?).
Jeg ringer til
Hustruen<\/a> og beklager min n\u00f8d. Og som man kan forvente av en eventyrlysten ung kvinne kaster hun seg (n\u00e5vel!) i bilen og kommer meg til unnsetning. Det er mens vi spiser middag i Sansepolcro om kvelden, og jeg forteller til kelnderen hva vi gj\u00f8r der, at han sier at jeg m\u00e5 v\u00e6re den eneste i verden som har opplevet at en BMW R1150GS stopper p\u00e5 grunn av mekaniske problemer!<\/p>\n

I dag, mandag, ble sykkelen fraktet til BMW-verkstedet i Arezzo. Der skulle de se p\u00e5 den s\u00e5 snart som mulig. En eller annen gang i fremtiden m\u00e5 jeg ta toget til Firenze, derfra videre til Arezzo, og en drosje til BMW for \u00e5 hente den. En dag som ikke er fylt opp av andre ting.
