Back home, at last

Rain on a ferry in Finland

Rain? Just a drizzle!

Sissel and Tage

Looking good!

We ended up riding according to the general plan.  That is, we rode from Pisa to Nordkapp by means of Finland, then saw the Norwegian fjords on the way back.   In fact, that was the entire plan.  The implementation turned out to be Pisa – Milano (I) – Lindau. (D) – Hamburg. (D) – Helsingør. (DK) – Stockholm. (S) – Mariehamn (Fin) – Turku. (Fin) – Vaasa (Fin) – Oulu. (Fin) – Rovaniemi. (Fin) – Muonio (Fin) – Olderdalen. (N) – Tromsø. – Nordkapp. – Tromsø. – Senja – Harstad. – Ørnes. – Mo i Rana – Namsos. – Trheim. – Tustna – Kristiansund. – Bud. – Ålesund – Ørsta. – Lom – Valdresflye – Etnedalen. – Fagernes – Tyin – Øvre Årdal – Turtagrø – Skjolden – Balestrand. – Bergen. – Øygarden – Hardangervidda – Notodden. – Oslo – Fredrikstad (N) – Grebbestad. (S) – Frederikssund. (DK) – Hannover. (D) – Munchen. (D) – St. Moritz. (CH) – Milano (I) – Pisa.

We rode 13.060 km in 39 days.  Of those 39 days, 37 were outside Tuscany.  Of those 37 days away from Tuscany we experienced rain during 32 of them.  The picture shows the typical setting; here from a ferry in Finland.

We had proper rain gear and except for Sissel’s glows not being up to standard, we did not get wet.   In a few weeks the rain will be forgotten.

We took 1122 pictures and some of those will be embedded in a proper Ride Report as soon as possible.
